What to do if your model has been suspended

If one of your models has been suspended, it means our moderation team determined it does not meet CGTrader's current content guidelines. This article explains why suspensions happen, what you can do about it, and when an appeal is available.

Why was my model suspended?

Models are suspended when they are found to violate one or more of CGTrader's content policies. The suspension reason is shown next to the affected model on your models page. Possible reasons include:

Reason Description Appeal available
NSFW content Model contains adult, sexually suggestive, or explicit material Yes
Stolen model Model was reported as misappropriated or not created by the seller Yes
Reported model Model was suspended following a community report and moderation review Yes
Printable gun Model was flagged as a printable firearm or firearm component Yes
Spam / Scam Listing was found to be misleading, empty, or deceptive Yes
Copyright violation Model reproduces copyrighted characters, brands, or IP without a license No
Designer's request Suspended at the request of the original designer or rights holder No
Missing KYC Account identity verification is incomplete No

⚠️ Note on NSFW suspensions: CGTrader recently updated its standards around adult and suggestive content. These changes are driven by requirements from major platforms we depend on (including Google and other search engines), which require us to be stricter about certain types of content to remain compliant. Some models that were previously available may no longer meet our current guidelines.

How to appeal a suspension

If your model's suspension reason has an appeal option, you can submit a review request directly from your model's page. Appeals are reviewed by our moderation team — they cannot be submitted or processed via email or support tickets.

  1. Go to your models page
  2. Find the suspended model
  3. Click the Appeal button next to it
  4. Fill in the appeal form and submit it
📬 Please do not reply to suspension emails or open a new support ticket to request a review. Our support team is not able to action suspension appeals via email - the appeal button on your models page is the only way to submit a review request.

What happens after I appeal?

  • Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days
  • If approved, your model will be reinstated and published automatically
  • If the suspension is upheld, it will remain suspended, and the decision is final
  • Each model can only be appealed once
